Hands on Tableau Training - Measuring the Impact of Covid
Time & Location
About the Event
At Analytic Vizion, we're grateful to have the opportunity to serve the community and invest in the next generation of Data and Technology leaders. This Hands on Tableau Training which focuses on the Impact of Covid is an investment we're making in the community because it aligns to the values we hold at our core and who we desire to be as an organization:
- Equipping and Inspiring the next generation of leaders
- Valuing the Community as a primary stakeholder
- Leading through serving
- Building analytic solutions that brings Vision to Technology
This training will be led by Nelson Davis (Former Tableau Zen Master) who is the President and Founding Partner of Analytic Vizion. Nelson has unique experience in Epidemiological Analysis having supported the Tableau Foundation's development on the Ebola Outbreak for the World Health Organization and the Government of Guinea in late 2014 - 2015. That analysis focused on contact tracing and crisis response management. Following that initial project, Nelson went on to support the Tableau Foundation's efforts on the Visualize No Malaria Project from 2015 - 2018, working with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and PATH, with the goal of eliminating Malaria in Zambia.
The greatest lesson from those projects was that with epidemiological data rows and columns are the lives of human beings, and as such we must approach the data with respect and honor. Our heart is to replace fear with facts. Trade the unknown for insight. We are in a season where we are looking to help and support as many people, teams, and organizations as we can, and we would love to help you grow in your understanding of both Tableau and the Impact of Covid through this session.
The training is free! It will be held on Teams on Thursday April 23rd from 2pm - 4pm. To register please click the link which will send you an email with the meeting details. Please make sure you have a copy of Tableau Desktop or Tableau Public already installed and that it's version 2020.1 or greater. We'll send out a link to Tableau Public the morning of the training with the final notebook with refreshed data. Please have that workbook downloaded and ready to go.
If you need an intro on getting started with Tableau ahead of Thursday, please check out the starter kit here:
We look forward to connecting with you soon. Many thanks!
