Operations Director
The Operations Director will be responsible responsible for managing all operational functions to be efficient, effective, and aligned with the overall goals of the organization. This position works closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies that enable the company’s culture, enhance operational capabilities and ensure its continued success.

A day in a life for an Operations Director

Internal Operations
-
Develop and implement operational processes and procedures that enable the company's goals and objectives

Oversee and manage operational functions, including finance, staffing, legal compliance, people support, and IT
-
Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategies that improve operational effectiveness and efficiency
-
Monitor and analyze key operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate solutions
-
Manage and optimize the use of available resources (time, talent & treasure) to achieve operational goals and objectives
-
Manage and lead a team of operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentoring as needed
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners

Legal, Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, both internally and externally
-
Identify and manage risks that could impact the company's operations
-
Oversee the creation and adherence to compliance-related agreements such as MSAs, vendor contracts and partner agreements

Finance Operations

Ability to understand business financial management, including but not limited to the impact of AP/AR/Aging invoices, and the overall Invoicing process

Project Delivery

Develop and implement strategies to balance project work demand with available skilled personnel

Work closely with project managers to understand project requirements and ensure that adequate staff are available to meet project deadlines

Identify potential staffing shortages and work with people support to recruit and onboard new consultants as needed

Monitor consultant utilization rates and take appropriate actions to balance workload and worklife.

Provide regular reports to the executive team on staffing levels, utilization rates, and project demand

Collaborate with business development efforts to enable the pipeline of new business and ensure that staffing levels are aligned with future demand.

People Support Operations

Enable compliance with employment laws and regulations (e.g., federal, state, local laws, H1B processes)

Work with the people support team to develop and implement performance management processes to ensure that consultants are meeting performance expectations

Partner with Leadership Development on necessary development content and materials for compliance, effectiveness or efficiency

Oversee the quarterly review and promotions process

Direct the maintenance and improvement of the organization’s handbook

Compensation & Benefits processes

Technology Support
-
Developing and implementing the strategy and maintenance around tools selection such as payroll, CRM, people documentation, legal, etc.

Requirements for the role:

Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, related field or equivalent experience.

At least 10 years of experience in operations management in a services firm, preferably in a data and analytics consulting firm.

Demonstrated track record of success in managing complex operations and achieving business goals.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to operations management.

Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

Additionally, we balance the needs of our clients for hosting our consultants on site with the desires of our consultants. Where desired and where possible, we will continue to work remotely with our clients.
