We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Consultant who has a passion for improving efficiencies across supply chains, has developed a level of technical subject matter expertise, yet desires to grow into a leader worth following in the space at the intersection of supply chain and analytics.

A day in a life for a Senior Supply Chain Consultant

Build authentic relationships, partnering with our clients to assess their needs through conversations to understand organizational and business goals

Collaborate with clients and team members to determine data needs and potential solutions based on best practices and contextual understanding of the people, systems, and technology in the organization.

A desire to accept the challenges of growing into a servant leader through a multi-year development process.

Researching and assessing supply chain technologies that support SCV and client strategy/initiatives
-
Using expertise, knowledge, and past experiences to provide thought leadership in supply chain in logistics strategy, specifically in how it intersects with data and technology

Developing strategies because of network design/optimization studies and solutions that you have helped create

Delivering analysis-driven strategic and tactical advisory solutions

Contributing to setting the overall vision and strategy for SCV

Assisting in sales process with potential clients, including but not limited to Discovery calls, negotiations, and SOW creation
Requirements for the role:
-
At least 5+ years supply chain experience. Examples include practical experience in most or all categories pertaining to warehousing, ocean export, domestic trucking, inland port and rail operations, using best practices and KPIs, inventory planning, demand planning, supply planning, etc.

Demonstrated ability to comfortably and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. This means the ability to develop agendas, lead meetings as a facilitator, manage projects, and document & publish critical results.

Persuasiveness – Utilize interpersonal styles and techniques to gain acceptance. Must have the ability to persuade stakeholders internally and externally.

Financial & Qualitative Acumen – Demonstrate an understanding of the use, interpretation and impact of key quantitative and financial measures, and understand how supply chain metrics relate to line items on an Income Statement and Balance Sheet.

Visionary – Must be able to challenge existing processes and paradigms and provide innovative thought leadership to clients.

Analytical Skills – Must be able to relate & compare, securing relevant information and identifying key issues. This includes seeking and organizing information and conducting relevant data analysis. Senior consultants have extensive experience modelling in Excel, BI tools, and/or supply chain software tools.

Memphis, Chicago, or Atlanta Preferred. We balance the needs of our clients for hosting our consultants on site with the desires of our consultants.
